Inter High School Public Speaking Competition (Nov. 27, 2015)

"Whether it's the best of times or the worst of times. It's the only time we've got." —Theme of the Inter-High School Public Speaking Competition. I was amazed and flabbergasted by these "high school" students. The way they talk? They sound like not a high school anymore. We'll that is the reason why they joined this competition, because they don't just talk the talk but they walk the talk.

One thing that marked in my mind during the speech competition was this chinito guy who made a speech about a girl that he likes so much. He told that, he even asked her out to the prom. But this girl was taken by another guy, and that made him unhappy? I guess. Because as far as i could remember the sentence, he said that "I like seeing her smile, but it hurts because i'm not the reason for it." Then it breaks my heart. The speeches has their own feelings from where they're coming from.  It has deepest history why they have this agony and through speeches, it expresses the anguish of the persona.

Speeches aren't always about sad thoughts and hugot lines. Yet, there was a fun part about this competition. During the almost-end part, there is this speech game called "mix and match" words are mixed and not connected with each other, yet you have to make a sentence connection by using it. It was the funniest thing i've ever witnessed. Even Mr. Deeno, our public speaking and tech writing professor joined the hype, and he nailed it!
