Mookie Katigbak–Lacuesta

Mookie Katigbak-Lacuesta is one of the finest poets in our country. Mookie Katigbak-Lacuesta has authored four books, including the two poetry collections The Proxy Eros (2008) and Burning Houses (2013). She is also the coeditor of Fast Food Fiction Delivery (2014)

Mookie earned a BA in Ateneo de Manila and an MFA from the New School University. 
Mookie received numerous prizes for her work, including the 2014 Carlos Malanca Memorial Award for Poetry, which is the Philippines’ foremost literary award, and the Philippines Free Press Award for Poetry in 2007. 

Her essays and short stories have appeared in a number of literary publications in her home country and abroad and her work has been widely anthologized. Her work has been featured in The New York Quarterly, The Philippines Free Press, Rogue Magazine, and elsewhere.

Mookie Katigbak-Lacuesta also participates in the International Writing Program’s Fall Residency courtesy of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State.

I haven't read any of Mookie's works yet after reading the rates or comments on her books, i might visit the Powerbooks (bookstore) later.
